This is a flexible, part-time role. The Head of Education will commit an average of 24 hours per week – ideally spread across 4-5 days… Credibility working with senior leaders in the education sector; a strong network of senior level contacts in the education sector, ideally across several education systems, and a deep understanding of the education sector. On appointment, the post holder will agree to a flexible working pattern with the Director of Education. Some working during school holidays will be required, though the level of activity is typically much less – so it is possible to work more than 3 days per week during term time and less during school holidays. We aim to offer you the support you need to do a great job… and the flexibility and freedom to make this role your own and to build a thriving education practice that meets local needs.
We are flexible on the location for this position, but our preference would be to find someone in New York, LA, or Chicago, as this will provide access to a large education system. You can either work from home, or from a our office if you’re located in an applicable city.We can offer you:
Professional support and guidance from our Director of Education (based in Sydney) and our Head of Education in the UK.
Mentoring and companionship from a local BTS consultant buddy and the wider BTS USA team who mainly work with corporate clients. BTS USA have a strong desire to build their social impact CSR work and are very committed to the success of BTS Spark in the US.
Access to our suite of program designs, marketing materials and proposals which have been well received by education clients in Australia and the UK.
The opportunity to customise our website to the US market. (We are currently constructing a new website for BTS Spark.)
Extensive training across our leadership and coaching curriculum, as well as facilitation training.
Limited part-time project coordination/ admin support seconded by BTS USA, with a view to appointing a part-time Education Program Manager in August 2019.
Access to our global support staff as needed to assist with learning design, publishing, coach training, finance, and IT.
Funds to cover office and travel expenses and local marketing costs.
